ABOUT ME

My name is Anoushka jaye Faith

Art has become one of the clearest ways I understand myself and communicate what I cannot always put into words. I grew up in Miami in a Jewish family with roots in England, Iran, and Iraq, surrounded by strong values of dedication, creativity, and hard work.

I was always creative, but for a long time I never saw myself as a fine artist. Painting began more casually, almost as a hobby, until high school, when I created my first portfolio for my school’s Art Merit Scholarship. Receiving the scholarship gave me the confidence to take my work more seriously, but more importantly, it marked the point when art shifted from something I enjoyed to something I genuinely had a passion for.

Today, I am pursuing a BFA in Painting at Boston University alongside a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I continue to develop my technical skills while also building my own art practice, but what matters most to me is the personal connection I have with the work itself.

Painting gives me a space to slow down, focus, and become completely absorbed in an idea. I care deeply about the small decisions within each piece, from color and composition to the emotion behind the subject. For me, being an artist is not simply about making something beautiful. It is about continuing to grow, learning how to express myself more honestly, and creating work that feels meaningful both to me and to the people who experience it.
